1. Who we are

Azure Financial Services (“Azure”, “we”, “us”) is a lending business based at 13 Monkey Close, Ibex Hill, Lusaka, Zambia. We decide how and why the personal information described in this notice is used. We aim to handle it in line with Zambia’s Data Protection Act, 2021. 2. Information we collect

• Enquiries. Your name, phone number, email address, the type of enquiry, your employer or business name where relevant, and your message.
• Careers. Your name, contact details, area of interest, professional summary and the CV you choose to upload.
• Loan applications. If you go on to apply, we will ask for further information such as identification, employment and income details, bank statements and, for businesses, registration and financial documents. We explain what is needed at that stage.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our servers automatically record your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, for security and to keep the site working.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and explain the next steps (to take steps you ask for, and our legitimate interest in running our business).
• To assess an application, including affordability and credit reference checks, and to administer a loan if one is approved (to take steps at your request, and to meet legal and regulatory obligations).
• To consider you for employment (with your consent, which you give when you register your interest).
• To keep our website and systems secure and working (our legitimate interest).
• To meet legal, regulatory, audit and record-keeping duties.

We do not sell personal information.

4. Who we share it with

• Azure staff who need it to handle your enquiry, application or recruitment.
• Service providers that help us run the business, such as email, hosting and support-ticket systems, who may only use it for our purposes.
• For loan applications, employers (to verify employment and administer payroll deductions under an agreed arrangement) and credit reference providers, as explained to you during the application.
• Regulators, courts and other authorities where the law requires.

5. Transfers outside Zambia

Some of our service providers may process information outside Zambia. Where that happens we aim to ensure it stays protected to a standard comparable to Zambian law.

6. How long we keep it

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and to meet legal, regulatory, tax and record-keeping obligations. Information about unsuccessful enquiries and career registrations is not kept longer than is reasonably necessary, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. How we protect it

This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Enquiries are received into access-controlled systems, and CVs are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. No online system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents through the enquiry form; we will tell you how to share documents safely when you apply.

8. Your rights

Subject to the law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold information about you and to give you a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to certain uses, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise a right, contact us at afs@azurefinzm.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Commissioner.

9. Applicants and candidates

We use career registrations only to assess your interest in employment opportunities with Azure, and we may keep your details so we can contact you when a suitable opportunity arises. You can ask us to correct or remove them at any time.

10. Children

Our services are for adults. This website is not directed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
